Here’s what I’m at, following the fun /now page movement by Derek Sivers. The most “strategic” parts will be updated quarterly, while the others will be updated weekly.

Current OKRs Q3 2025

I show what I can make public here, simplified:

  • Breathe normally
    • Nothing to be super worried about, but it seems my nasal turbinates are too big (every day I know more and more people with this issue). It may be related to this or not but I have started snoring too :/. Also, reflux doesn’t help and I’m digging dip into whether I have SIBO or gluten intolerance.
      • Update: no big nasal turbinates, no SIBO, no gluten intolerance… Cuentito chino for now.
  • Finding another community of people in Valencia
    • To feel even more part of this city (and also because there are some more hobbies I want to explore), I want to join to another group activity in addition to theatre: maybe chorus, dance, or playing the electrical guitar.
      • Update: I now have an electric guitar but lectures are individual so it’s not a good idea regarding this objetive. I may take up on another Samarucs sport (rugby or beach volley).
  • Invest part of my savings
    • I decided against buying a home now: we will have less uncertainty in a couple of years (by then we should know the resolution of some work issues of my hubbie, AI uncertainty should be less). But still, I should do something with part of my savings to avoid the impact of inflation.
      • Update: already playing with some ETF fund simulators.

At work

  • Freepik is among the first to offer unlimited AI image and video generations: analyzing the impact of that across the board.
  • Self-service BI, take two:
    • Fine-tuning FreeDAA (Freepik Data Analyst Agent), our data analysis agent.
    • Finally ditched that old nasty Looker and improving our information architecture on Hex.
  • More depth to our understanding of churn.

Non-OKR favorite problems

  • Huge lack of stimuli this month (typical on summer) that I’m not handling well. I’m already doing two things in this regard:
    • Learning To Play Electric Guitar I.
    • I’m having a dinner per week with strangers with Timeleft.
    • No longer feeling that way :). Although I think it went away in the same way it came. Maybe taking magnesium bisglycinate at night is magic? Dinner with strangers are fun but it’s not likely the path to make community: you need some sort of continuity for that to happen.
  • The way people say goodbye. September is a typical month in which people make changes, so some people leave from places, some other join anew. I’ve been surprised by how some people (the majority?) left places (and people) like pulling a cord from an electrical socket. Was there no real attachment?
  • Because of different simultaneous things at the moment (gym, work, relationships) I’m somewhat developing the thought that many things you want require waaaaaay more work than what you expect too, to the point of “how much do you want what you want”? Thinking of a post that would link several related concepts.

Gym

  • 73kg at around 10-12% of body fat. Still progressing almost every session in the weights I move. Still having overload problems in my right elbow tendon and now the left is there too. Still in the same calorie surplus: seems I will stay here for a whi;e (2650 kcal / day).
