## Why did I want to watch it?
## What did I get out of it?
>ANDREA: I'm sorry. It's a busy day. My personal life is hanging by a thread, that's all.
>NIGEL: Join the club. That's what happens when you start doing well at work, darling. Let me know when your whole life goes up in smoke. That means it's time for a promotion.
Le dice su novio Nate que:
> The person whose calls you always take? That's the relationship you're in.
Por supuesto, [[Sin machirulos hay paraiso. Una charla heterofriendly sobre management]]:
>Okay, she’s tough, but if Miranda were a man…no one would notice anything about her, except how great she is at her job.
>Andy Sachs: I never thought I would say this, Andrea, but I really, I see a great deal of myself in you. You can see beyond what people want, and what they need and you can choose for yourself.
>Andy Sachs: I don't think I'm like that. I couldn't do what you did to Nigel, Miranda. I couldn't do something like that.
>Miranda Priestly: You already did. To Emily. Andy Sachs: That's not what I... no, that was different. I didn't have a choice.
>Miranda Priestly: No, no, you chose. You chose to get ahead. You want this life. Those choices are necessary.
> ANDREA: Will that fit me?
> NIGEL: Oh yeah. A little Crisco and some fishing line and we're in business.
moda:
>This… “stuff”? Oh, okay. I see, you think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select that lumpy blue sweater, for instance, because you're trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back. But what you don't know is that that sweater is not just blue. It's not turquoise. It's not lapis. It's actually cerulean. And you're also blithely unaware of the fact that in 2002, Oscar de la Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns. And then I think it was Yves Saint Laurent who showed cerulean military jackets? And then cerulean quickly showed up in the collections of eight different designers. And then it filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic Casual Corner…where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs. And **it's sort of comical how you think that you've made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when, in fact…you're wearing a sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room…from a pile of "stuff."**
